TMG turned 20 years old in 2019 - how awesome is that??
WHO IS TMG?
My name is Marie Taylor and I’m the owner and Creative Director of TMG.
TMG provides graphic design for a wide range of services including online, print, events, presentations, corporate branding and a whole lot more.
I network with a whole bunch of awesome specialists in social media, events, marketing and sales. I think working with people like this gives my clients a much bigger offering. Whatever it is - we’ve got it covered!
TMG is based in the Redlands / Brisbane area, Queensland, Australia but services clients from far and wide.
TMG is flexible and can cover contract work or work with you on a project-by-project basis, visibly or invisibly, it’s up to you - I’m only ever a phone call away!
a little bit about me
I’ve been a creative my whole professional career.
After successfully completing my Higher national Diploma in Design Communications I got my first gig as an animation assistant and illustrator for a London film studio creating animated movies, information movies and television shows.
Then I worked for a major national electricity provider as senior designer. Creating graphic design for presentations, video and live performances. My job took me onto the road to take part in live event work, staging and sound.
From there I emigrated to Australia and scored a great job with a very busy video production company as their studio designer creating graphics for video production and presentations.
Taking a slight, but very exciting, change in direction I became project designer for 4 years designing sets, characters and 3D models for interactive movies.
I then moved on to be head of the Design Department for a leading Sydney media company. Creating interactives and presentations for high end clients, many of which were pharmaceutical and automotive. I worked for another 4 years in this role until I decided it was time to go solo.
I set up TMG not knowing where or how far it would take me. But, after seeing so many businessess come and go over the years I’m still here and really busy working with and for some awesome people. How lucky am I? I think migrating from animation, tv, presentation, audio visual, interactive and then to online and print has given me a wide set of skills to work with.
and my mantra?
Personally, I think life is all about contrast and experiences.
When I’m not glued to my computer creating graphics you’ll find me either at the gym or out in the open camping, motorcycling, kayaking, diving or traveling overseas.
I just love ‘adventure’ whether it be climbing a mountain in Japan, riding a motorbike across the Himalayas of India or Bhutan, diving shipwrecks in the Solomons, exploring the ancient sites of Egypt or the Central Americas... I could go on...
The more I travel the longer the list gets!
I feel travel not only gives me experience about the arts and cultures of foreign lands but also makes me feel very grounded and totally appreciative of how lucky I am to live and work in a country such as this.
